It is about 5AM, the rain is dumping, and no clue when we may get to head to a park today. So, I closed out some things with work and figured I would come here and give an update.
The trip so far has been incredible. Weather has been near perfect (except this morning). Lines have been relatively short and we have not had any problems doing what we have wanted.
Resort: Boardwalk
Pros: Proximity is incredible. Walking to DHS and Epcot make this an excellent place to stay. The resort is immacculate. We love seeing the performers on the Boardwalk: jugglers, magicians, etc. They make for a fun relaxing evening. You can see the MK fireworks and Epcot fireworks from the boardwalk.
Cons: There is only one and it is minor. The thermostats are analog. It is almost impossible to get it adjusted to the right temperature. Not a big deal, but would be nice to have digital thermostats.
MK:
Pros: Park is well maintained. Crowds have been easy to deal with. So much to do and enjoy. We love interacting with the Main St characters, especially Scoop, Hildegarde, Victoria, Constance, and Beatrice. Constance, Beatrice, and Scoop had one heck of a time the other day. People were crackin gup laughing for a good 20 minutes.
Cons: There are the walls at the hub. It is good that they are doing renovations, but sad to see. I don't mind them, but I hear people complaining when there.
DHS/AK: I love these parks. However, the cutbacks have limited what is available to do. Lines get long simply because there are so few things for people to filter towards. They need attractions to thin the herds.
Epcot: It is as fun as always. Enjoy the rides up front, then visit the countries.
