DVC question

Hello,
I just closed on my membership last week through resale. (okw, 500 points, $65.00 a point, 356 2001 points, 500 2002 points bankes and 500 more points in feb. 2003) I haven't received my info yet so I have a question about the housekeeping policy. I know that daily housekeeping is $25.00 a day, but what if you only want clean towels? Do they let you pick up the towels at the front desk? Also, what is the DVC members only web site like? I'm really curious about it.

I think there is a charge for towels, but a member can confirm that.

I am not a member, but if I were, I think I would take advantage of the washer in the room and do my own towels. It's really not that hard to throw them in on your way out the door, then in the dryer when you get home.

I also think I would consider bringing extras from home to save me the aggravation of having to pay. Oh yes--also detergent from home.

House keeping

You can pay a daily charge for a full housekeeping. General maid service, linens, towels etc.

You do get a towel change and what's known as a 'trash and tidy' mid-way through your stay.

We've been members since 1993, and seen HK change from daily, to every other day, to once during a stay, to now just trash and tidy.

There are washing machines in the 1 bedroom and larger, so you can do your towels if you need to. Don't worry about using the 'home' towels at the pools, the resort provides towels for use at all of the pools.

If you are staying in a studio, there are laundry facilities at each of the pools, and they are no charge!

The charge for towels and trash removel is$10 a day and does not include the first day and any scheduled day. We were just there for 5 days and chargd for 2. Or you can just run down to the pool and take all you need each day. Then on the schd. day they pick them up.
