DVC Question Help Please!

I have been reserching this and keep getting conflicting information. Do you have to pay closing costs when buying into DVC or no???? And if so approx how much???I am from Canada and DVC said they are not allowed to give out info unless I am there in person. Thank you so much!

For an initial DVC purchase, you do pay closing costs unless you pay for it all cash or cash equivalent, even then there are title fees etc. I think the exact amount depends on how you finance etc.

I think we paid in the couple of hundred dollars range:shrug:

Closing costs were about $320 for me. (10-year finance on 240 points)

There are no closing costs associated with sold out (closed) resorts if bought through DISNEY DVC.

New resort = closing costs at DISNEY DVC and resale
Sold Out (closed) restort = no closing costs at DISNEY DVC, closing costs at resale.

That is why you are recieving conflicting reports.
