DVC Info sessions at WDW

I'm interested in attending a DVC info session in WDW. Where/when are they usually held? How long are they?

Also, a CM once told me that if you attend a session that you are compensated with some kind of Fastpass to make up for the time that you missed at the park? Is that true?

We were at Saratoga Springs for the DVC info session in May. The whole session was about an hour and a half. We got to walk around SSR, and then looked at some model DVC rooms in an adjacent building. In the end we were given a $100 Disney Dollars gift card, and our kids got to have some ice cream. It wasn't painful or pressure-filled at all.

We were given the choice between the gift card and 10 anytime/anywhere Fast Passes.

The sessions are one-on-one with your family and an agent. We didn't have to wait at all but that could be different during busier times. The basic tour and spiel should run no more than two hours but it can take a LOT longer than that if you decide to make a purchase.

No, but every resort (and theme park and Downtown Disney...) has a DVC information booth where they will call a van to take guests to the DVC sales center. You don't have to worry about getting to Saratoga Springs on your own. They will also drop you off wherever you want when it is over.

When we did ours in May, (and then joined a week after we got home) they picked us up at CBR at a time of our choosing. They take you to SSR to the DVC headquarters where the model rooms are for the new AKV and BLT.

We had a reservation for lunch at Marrakesh and they even dropped us off at a backstage area in EPCOT to make sure we made the reservation on time.

There was zero pressure. They did not allow you to sign that day. We had the choice of the FP's or a $100 gift card. It was really informative and the whole experience took about an hour.
