DVC housekeeping

I have a question about housekeeping when staying at a DVC resort on points. I'm staying via RCI trade, but my understanding is that this applies to points rentals and regular DVC guests as well. I understand that we won't get full housekeeping services but have the option to purchase it at $35 per day. My question is whether this is an all-or-nothing fee that's going to apply to every night of my seven night trip, or if I can pick and choose which days I'd like it. We'll be in the room for the baby's nap around "peak" housekeeping hours almost every day so I don't want to risk paying for this unless I know for sure I'll use it.

You would pay for it every night of your stay is my understanding... If you are staying for more that 7 nights, you will get full cleaning on day 4 if you choose not to pay. If you are staying less than 7 nights then on day 4 you will get trash and towel service only

The extra-fee cleanings are a per-day request. You can request it for one night of your stay, or all nights of your stay, you pay for however many you want, paying the fee each time.

Either the Front Desk or Housekeeping would be able to give you more details after you check in as to when they would be able to schedule your cleaning. (If you're paying extra for it, I'm sure they'll be more than happy to schedule a time for you early in the day so that it's ready by nap-time)

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
And the price is dependent on room size the price is different for studios, 1 bed villas, 2 bed villas and so on. It's not a set $35 fee. But yes being a guests on points they come every 4th day and either do trash and towel or a full clean that's dependent how many days your there they sometimes swap the type of clean to match the length of your stay.
Now if a person books directly through Disney to stay in a DVC room paying cash you get daily mousekeeping like normal. Also if a DVC member and you book a cash stay (not on points) you get daily mousekeeping but the front desk has to be reminded to note you need daily mousekeeping being its a cash DVC stay. (We asked the manager of Kidani our home how that works and he said yes a DVC member paying cash gets daily service)
Anywho this was more info than you needed probably. Haha! ;)

No worries! I knew most of it since I've stayed as a cash guest at a DVC resort and I've also done an RCI stay where I didn't want the mousekeeping anyways so I didn't worry about it. But the info is still good for anyone else who's looking for it.

Yep after I wrote it I thought you had done this before. Lol But yes it's great for anyone else that needs the info. ;)

The DVC rentals are well-stocked with a vacuum, broom and dust pan, sponges, dish soap and other cleaning supplies. When we had 6 of us in a 2-bedroom DVC rental for a week, we found that between picking up after ourselves and giving the kitchen floor and countertops a quick once-over a couple of times, we didn't need (or miss) regular housekeeping. (YMMV.) :)
