Dumbo

I know that when Dumbo was originally designed there was supposed to be water underneath the ride cars similar to the Aladdin ride in MK. but due to the weight of the water on top of the utilidoors underground they couldn't put the water there. what will be under the cars inside the big top? it would make no sense to have water there?

The concept art shows a lot of blue and white under the elephants, so I'd say that the water features will be added. (And the ride mechanisms are still outdoors as it is now, just the queue/waiting area will be under the big top)

That seems like a rather silly excuse. The water fountains and pool at the base of Dumbo is not deep, and can't weigh any more than your average snack bar or random piece of equipment already sitting on top of the utilidors.

^^^ That's not a lot of water to design around. I think they just didn't do the water feature at WDW's Dumbo because it was cheaper that way.

Wow. That water feature is so nice. It really adds to the attraction.

Yes. The magic of Disneyland is in the details, don't you think?

At night the water is lit up in different colors and patterns as the Dumbos spin around above. It's absolutely enchanting to watch.

The thing about the shallow pool of water being too heavy to use over the utilidors seems very suspect to me. Let's hope they fix this omission from the Magic Kingdom park's Dumbo ride with the new Double-Dumbo circus attraction.

Water is a lot heavier than people think it is. And a heavy load over a long length of time can cause problems.

i think it was because in that particular area the land was not stable enough for the water but i think if the water is added it would make the ride a lot nicer to me. i be able to accept the fact that toontown is gone easier if the Dumbo attraction is actually made nicer
