That sucks! I remember the first time I went on Dudley's and I thought I would get a little wet. I had no idea that you really get soaked on the ride!

I always put my cell and wallet in a ziplock bag, and never wear socks on the water rides!

i do the sandals thing - seems that florida is the only place i will wear them except when i am on the beach or at the gym. Skate shoes get heavy when wet :(

the lockers arent too bad a deal either :)

Haha, yeah, I have them both sitting in a bowl full of dry rice...I heard that's supposed to suck the moisture out, lol.

I'm not too worried about the phone, because I covered the little white sticker that turns red when wet with tape, so as long as I let it dry out, T-Mobile should give me a new phone....the Ipod, though...Oh goodness. I would really miss it if it doesn't work anymore :(

Think positively. I was at IOA yesterday in the horrible storm and one of the guys in our group dropped his phone into a giant puddle and it was in 3 pieces. When he put it back together and turned it on later that night it was fine.

I thought that about my Blackberry the other night during one of our Florida storms... Same situation... fell into a puddle. I put it back together and it worked fine that night. The next day, it went to Blackberry heaven. I get a new one on Monday!

i remember when i rode dudley do right's ripsaw falls for the first time, and having to deal with being soaked. what was even worse was having my face soaked for which i couldn't see for a few seconds, and from that day forward i decided to wear goggles whenever i got on that ride (so i won't get "blinded" from the water spray at the end). as for the ipod issue, i have a waterproof casing (which also has waterproof earphones) for my ipod mini which helps a lot.

ipods are quite resilliant... i dropped a 24kg weight at the gym on my 30 g.... screen was destroyed. But i repaired it with a spares or repair on ebay and it now works fine :)

I accidentely dropped my ipod into a toilet, in wiped and rebooted itself a couple of times but eventually died! But I was on holiday so I sent it to the insurance company and got £150 back and bought a newer model lol.

I learned to take the "you will get soaked" signs at Dudley seriously on my first ride. :ROFLOL: And if I was lucky enough not to get soaking wet, the nice people standing at the water cannons took care of that for me. Still, I love that ride.

Good luck with your iPod!

Haha, yes, the water cannons are rather enchanting :D

And thanks for the luck on the Ipod...it now works, but only when connected to a source of power, which kind of defeats the purpose. I'm sending it back home so my mom can see if Costco will switch it out for a new one.
