DTD disneyland style

So what's it got to offer? The shops are a given (we are starting to like Legos, and wife saw the sephora place in a vid on YouTube--yikes!). Anything we need to check out besides the eats and money pits? DTD Orlando has the indoor arcade place and splitsville (bowling alley). Anything similar at DTD Anaheim? The more I look at the park maps and number of attractions in just disneyland alone, the more I feel like we may not go to DTD for long.

There are live acts in DtD. Other than that, it's just restaurants and shops. The theater, too. When is your trip? Maybe you can catch an Angels game.

Yes
ESPN Zone would be your best bet destination if you want that arcade atmosphere. I don't know if you've been to ESPN at the Boardwalk in WDW, but it's similar to that. Nothing like Splitsville there and plans for DisneyQuest were scrapped long ago.

Ya, I wouldn't recommend planning to spend a lot of time in DTD. There are much better places to hang out and shop and eat in DCA and DL.

I like the Mexican restaurant, Tortilla Jo's, but I wouldn't recommend leaving the park for it. I mainly go when I want some chips and want to get away from the DL crowds. I've also heard good things about the Jazz Kitchen. The biggest problem is often the stores in DTD close before the parks so you can't really check it out after you leave the park.

I'd recommend taking the Monorail from DL to go to the Lego Store. ESPN Zone is also near there. Then you can decide if you want to spend the time to walk through the rest of DTD back to DL or just hop back on the monorail.

If your staying on property your are basically guided through there to get from your hotel to the parks so its pretty much unavoidable.
