We even had to go through Security before exiting the garages in October and they had security at the bus station as well.
Okies. I must have missed it somehow. It’s nice to know it’s still there.

There is not always a full security screening when exiting Disney busses and entering Disney springs but there are security guards with dogs present.
It’s a minor inconvenience but it is a bit annoying to have to go around the long way and through security when entering from the pedestrian bridge. To be that close to earl of sandwich only to made to detour seems a bit cruel! Haha.

I don’t remember there being security after the pedestrian bridge from the newest garage (grapefruit?) when I had to park there last year.

Interesting. Because I walked through a security screening scanner at the Marketplace entrance just last week…..
We went thru security each time we took the boat from POFQ in February.
For what ever strange reason there was no security at the Marketplace Entry (the bridge from hotel plaza boulevard and the rideshare drop off) when they started doing security screenings at DS. There was just a Advent Health tent screening with thermometers. When the boats between DS and the resorts started running again they set up security at the boat dock and the Marketplace entry. There has always been security at the garages and the bus drop off.

currently there is one security entrance that everyone uses for marketplace, there is no security at the actual boat dock.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a full security check at the Disney bus drop off but they certainly may have it sometimes.
There might not be a full security check (with scanner) at the bus drop entrance, but there's always one, and at times two security officers with K9s 'scanning' people.
There's also cameras everywhere and plain-clothed security officers scattered throughout DS.

I think everyone is aware there are cameras and plain-clothed security everywhere at Disney, including DS. If you pay close enough attention, they are easy to spot.
That is what I meant, I just worded it poorly. Thanks for the clarification.

i wasn’t sure if there used to be a separate security at the actual boat dock - I know they are still adapting to security checks.
It’s crazy to think how much the cost of operating WDW has gone up just because of all the extra security guards they have everywhere now.

There was no security for us last month ago after getting off the bus.

Correct but they have created entrance points on all sides that make you go through a security checkpoint to get into DS.
