Driving for the first time

I am driving to WDW for the first time on Oct 27th. I was just wondering how you get into the resorts parking lots. I am staying at the Coronado Springs and I know they have a gate. Do I have to have my reservation number handy or what?

Just show them a picture ID and let them know you are checking in.

Yes, it only takes a second to talk to the security guard at CSR.

Yes. All resorts have gates w/ security guards. You can give them your reservation number, but if they look at your ID, then they can tell you're staying there. At WL, they knew who we were when we pulled up to check in and said, "Welcome Home Hood Family!" LOVED IT!

Except for CSR, all you need is to show ID and you are in.

At CSR, you can get to check in showing your ID, but you'll need a room key to open the gate that lets you drive to your room.

Everyone here has lied to you. But since I am your new best friend, I will help you out......

The first thing is make sure you pull up to the gate backwards, the guard will not talk to you if you don't.
Second thing is you have to get out and do the secret (they should sent this in your vacation package) I am at WDW dance. If you get it wrong they will cover you with "I don't know WDW" stickers. So make sure you practice it a lot before you arrive.
Third ignore everything you just read.
