When this new company took over the development of that eye sore, an indoor theme park was mentioned... I haven't read anything since... Only what has been mentioned in that article... If there is still a plan to build that indoor theme park, this may be the beginning stages of the development of it..

So christie won't throw money at a project that will earn it back?

I think the earnings potential is questionable, there are plenty of failed entertainment attempts, especially with properties that are just licensed out. Just look at the problems some Six Flags have had.

I don't know about questionable but it certainly has potential to make money. You are looking at 10 million people within a 30 minute ride of the place.

While true, it sounds more like the Mall of America type park or a Six Flags, and it's untested how well this developer is at creating something like this. So throwing public money at something like this doesn't necessarily seem like the wisest investment.

This mall itself was purchased by the Mall of America owners so I would expect Dreamworks to similar to theirs. Dont forget when trowing public money around it is doomed to fail.

Christie (greatest gov ever btw) has been openly critical of this entire Xanadu/American Dream project as a giant waste. He won't give it a cent, not that there is any money to give to it. It was started under his predecessor, the one that was involved in scandal (wait that doesn't narrow it down, let me be more clear, it was the one that did have to resign from office) and was basically a payback to politically friendly developers to give them a lot of state cash to build something that no one wanted or needed.

The earnings potential for that mall will be much more than revel, that place is going to fail.
