Dreaming Up Your Own Disney Ride

I was thinking about all of the upcoming expansions expected to occur at WDW (SW, RSR, Avatar) in the future. Then a sudden idea for a Mary Poppins ride at DHS popped into my head. It could start like Peter Pan, with a moving walkway to enter the ride from. The area would be more curved though, and it would look like a carousel at the entrance/exit. You would get onto a horse and strap yourself in. Maybe they could put two horses side by side for kids to stay with a parent. Once away from the loading area, the horses would go off of the carousel (attached to the ceiling on a track, just like Peter Pan) and it would appear like your horse was floating, just like in the movie. The horse would move gently up and down. The ride would be a dark ride, moving through all the scenes from Mary Poppins. Scenes would include Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, where the horse you were on would speed up as if you were in the race, the penguin scene, and the Chim-Chim-Cheree scene.

Of course they would never do a new ride with Mary Poppins since that movie is not watched by lots of kids nowadays.

Have you ever thought up an amazing ride for Disney in your head, and longed for it to actually exist? If so, what was it?

A ride based on "The Wind In The Willows", which was the basis for Mr. Toad. In the ride, the setting in Fantasyland, and the entry is through a mansion with a brick front and fountains in a courtyard. The famed Toad Hall. Inside, the queue continues through parts of Toad Hall before going into his motor carriage garage. From there, you board a trackless vehicle. Each vehicle can take one of four paths. The paths would follow the Mole, the Water Rat, the Badger, and Mr. Toad through scenes out of the book. All would finally interact in a central area where the battle would rage between the weasels stoats vs. the four heroes. The ending would bring the rides back into alignment and would the triumphant heroes waving goodbye. The trackless vehicles could do spins and would also have the swaying capability of the honeypots from Winnie the Pooh.

I love this idea and would love it to be a thing. Who knows, if Saving Mr. Banks is successful maybe Mary can make a a small comeback. Probably not enough for a ride but even a little bit would be nice

A Mary Poppins ride would be neat. I always thought an Aladdin dark ride/roller coaster would be awesome. Guests would be on the flying carpet and travel from the cave of wonders, to Agrabah, and through a battle with Jafar.

3 rides I would love!

Escape the Cave of Wonders

A carpet ride into te cave as you explore, then Abu touches the ruby and te cave starts to collapse and would dart an weave on your carpet to make it out!

Cruella DeVille's Dalmation Chase

Themed to the ending of the movie, you ride around in roger rabbit ride type vehicles and you go "sliding" and spinning over the snow covered roads trying to chase after the puppies. You could Ben incorporate te flashlights from the monsters inc ride trying to locate hiding puppies.

WALLEs garbage Bregade

This is a new green energy Pavillion for Epcot that includes a WALLE dark ride. You ride in modified WALLE garbage trucks with lasers as you shoot at garbage to clean up earth!
