Dreamfinder in new Journey Into Imag. Ride???

Has anyone heard whether or not Dreamfinder will be in the new Journey into Imagination ride?? I was watching old home videos and found myself laughing out loud and rolling on the floor when the part with me, Dreamfinder, and Figment came up. I met them outside of JII near the leaping fountains and let me tell you, he was HILARIOUS!!! I sure hope they are including him in the new ride. Quite frankly, I think they should just put up the old ride again! Dreamfinder and figment go together like Chip and Dale, you simply can't have one without the other!

Yep He is the spokespeson for the Imagination Institute....they will either re-arrange his current lines, or bring him in to do all new ones.

I hope he doesn't appear as an animatronic as Ellen does in Universe of Energy, that would spoil the whole ride again. He just needs to stay away from the ride and limit himself to the entrance to the ride since he will be obviously be used, 'cause if it was me who run the ride he could return to Monty Python anytime.
I keep wondering myself how DreamFinder (in person) was so identical to the fake one!

I don't know if I'm missing something, but who will be dreamfinders replacement??? Nigel Channing or did you hear somewhere that the ride would have a new character?

Yep...Eric Idol (Nigel Channing) is the dreamfinder replacment...

QUESTIONS...

I was NEVER able to meet Dreamfinder outside. What were some of his jokes? And HOW did Figment move? :veryconfu Was DF's bottom hand fake?

Yes, a version of the old JII AND Dreamfinder SHOULD come back. But I have a strong feeling they won't. And never say "definite". Are you an imagineer? (Say no here: __________). Okay, then. Be quiet! However, chances are extremely low.

And Chip/Dale DF/Figgy connection is correct.

Here comes a big slap to Disney.

Why do they "reinvinte" Figment? THEY KNOW People know where Figgy comes from - the Dreamcatcher! But now, he is this collared 3-D guy who comes out of Dr. Channing's imagination. You just can't redraw and knock a branch of the family tree! Disney has been doing this lately. Cutting off branches, whistling, then saying..."look! nothing happened!"..It just doesn't work. Come back, Dreamfinder, Come back...

Channing should be BANNED from the Imagination pavillion. "HISTA" is ENOUGH. I always knew it was a bad idea...HISTA is based on an idea for JII...then it takes over. (Hopefully not the way a movie tie in may replace CBJ). HISTA alone is good, but too much of the Institute makes me vomit. Idea's good, but enough is enough. And geez, those colors...we're not at UoF!

It's just not imaginative. The idea is not worthy - oh, there is so much more.

Now I just have to get together with Nine-Eye and Timekeeper and get a time travel plan back to 1982...

I remember meeting figgy a few times when I was a kid...dreamfinders bottom hand was fake..yes...and figgy was a very cute puppet

Dreamfinder is long gone...Disney actually is assuming people will forget he ever existed...and from seeing how little people seem to know about JII, they are assuming correctly.

Going back to the animatronic...I'm not saying they should do anything huge, but I'd like to see a return to the days of animatronics...it's better than looking at a screen or little special effects anyday....

I notice they keep changing attractions with classic songs:Horizons, World Of Motion, Universe of Energy, Spaceship Earth and not replacing them- And this is only Epcot. Disney is forgetting to make theme songs for the rides, which really makes people become less identified with the ride. That's really sad.

You sure said it! I have realized this as well. Test Track Medley will never replace "Fun to Be Free" and the new JII music will never beat the old...

Dreamfinder's Jokes

The guy was an improv type comedian. I remember, when I was young, Dreamfinder told me to give Figment a kiss goodbye. I didn't want because I am a guy and so is Figment. I went to go shake Figment's hand when Dreamfinder says, "It's okay to kiss Figment. HE'S A GIRL!!" LOL!!! Then he preceeded to tell me that kisses are dessert for dragons. He would ask you what city you were from, etc. They must have gone out and found comedians for the role. That's what it seemed like anyway. I hope that my little story here can give you an idea of how fun and magical Dreamfinder was!!!
