Dreamfinder Auction Reopened

They reopened the auction again today. The opening bid required is still only $1.00 and the current bid is $1.00
The shipping remains the same.
What changed you ask?

Figment is gone. They now state in bold letters that the Figment figure is NOT included and the prop is sold as is. The picture of Figment has been removed.

perhaps this means the animatronic figment will be in the new ride? (or perhaps they are just selling him separate to make more dinero...)

If I read the ad right, the figure of Figment is/was non-working.

I have heard that everything about Figgy will be brand new, fresh figures for the new ride. I would imagine (no pun intended) that the original stuff is in pretty bad shape by now anyway.

I expect to see a combination of the old ride elements with some of the new ride stuff. Anything that includes Figgy would be a BIG improvement over that mess the just closed. Too bad they can't/won't bring back Dreamfinder. I hope the little Dragon doesn't get lost without Dreamfinder to look after him. I guess all us true fans will have to watch over him when he comes back.

It isnt uncommon for disney to horde old animatronics for posterity and/or gifts to important staff members. I think the figment removed from the auction will find a good home if it hasnt already..

I agree. Since he was shown in the photo before it means that he was there. I think someone close to him has taken him home. I hope so.

I havent gotten confirmation but I'm pretty sure Disney locked about 10 Pot Heads in a small room and told them to come up with a ride about imagination to replace the GOOD one they allready had. When I see what the newer JIYI that is exactly what I thought.:brick:

It is very difficult to create a ride that surpasses a classic like the original JIYI what was she assigned to? Concept, Design, Construction, Effects? And with the budget Disney is giving Imagineering for most projects I can't really blame the majority of the Imagineers. I am just saying with all of the wacked out visuals it is like an acid trip! It isn't a bad ride it just isn't as good as the original.:goodnevil
