Dream Maker Package Choice Features

We purchased the The Dream Maker package. It includes one of the following Choice Features:

  • One round of miniature golf at Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course or Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course
  • One storytelling experience at Epcot® (advance reservations required and subject to availability)
  • Up to two images displayed on one Leave A Legacy tile at Epcot®
  • Up to $25 toward dining at Planet Hollywood® at Downtown Disney® West Side.
We haven't decided which one would work best for us. The boys are 4, 6, and 8. I'm intrigued by the second one, but I know absolutely nothing about it. Which would you choose and why?

Any comments would be much appreciated. :) :)

Are those the only options to choose from?
I have that plan to I think I would probably go with either the golf or the meal. The money off on the meal is helpful, everyone always has to eat!

16 days until disney!!!!!!!!

Yup, those are the only options for the basic dreammaker package. Its not until the silver & gold packages where you're able to get those magic wishes and have all those 'perks' and the whatnot. Of course, those packages cost you an additional arm, leg and first born child....

IMO, go for the golf. The kids will love it.

I have that same problem...I like the miniature golf, and the food, but not sure which to take, since we always play miniature golf no matter what, we never eat at the Planet Hollywood. We had some here in Chicago and didnt find them that interested or good for that matter. But a good point was made that any money off of the food bill helps. I guess it will depend on getting more bang for the buck. I will have to investigate on how much mini golf is per person. Maybe that will help me with my decision. There is gonna be 4 of us. 15, 13, 8 and me (age to remain annonymouse)

We have already left our mugs on the wall, so that has been done too.:sohappy:

6 days till Disney!!!:sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

The Planet Hollywood Cash off will not help much. The food is super ultra over priced. So the coupon just makes it overpriced.

I have did the Putt-Putt with packages in the past. This time I did the Leave a Legacy cause I am not going to pay to do that, so it was kinda a bonus with the package, plus my son is 2 and I thought he'd love to see his image in the future at EPCOT.

I know nothing about the storytelling, but since it said it's possible for walk-ins to make it I didn't consider it. However, it did not say Advanced Registration required on the paperwork I received at Check-in.

Thanks for posting your opinions! :sohappy:

antoinebusby - It turns out the Planet Hollywood option is not in my paperwork, but it is on the Disney website. It must have been added in later. I've ruled out this option even if they did allow me to do it.

spider-man - I like your logic behind the Leave a Legacy option, because I wouldn't pay for it, either. This option is still a maybe.

As for the last two choices -
How long does a round of mini-golf take? Will it hold a 4 year old's interest? Is one of the courses better suited to younger kids? Are there any characters hanging out in the clubhouse? Are there any sand traps, and if so, do they provide pitching wedges because I always end up ... ;)

What stories are told in the storytelling experience? Are the story tellers in character? How long does it take? Where is it? When is it? Who would I call to reserve 5 spots if I opted for this? If I requested that the story teller read The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring would they politely decline or hurl sharp objects at me? ;)

IMO, I think all the flex features on the package are lame. Nothing really good. Instead of mini golf, how bout a massage or a round of REAL golf and allow the kiddies to have thier mini golf...which intail forces the adults to purchase a round for themselves, which then DISNEY makes money off of the deal, and makes the adults happy with real golf or massage.
Just a thought. Or maybe a REAL meal instead of money off a stupid restuarant like Planet Hollywood. Isnt that the only one still in business? I know they closed down the one in Chicago and in both locations Gurnee, and downtown Chicago. ...I am rambling....but I just think they are a waste.
