Yesterday we commented on Twitter (http://bit.ly/10PMUmm) that Dragon Challenge has been closed in the morning quite a bit. Well, Universal finally made it official and announced that the attraction will be closed everyday until noon, now through April 30.

I am guessing that this is to do with the building of the Hogwarts Express station (and catching up on delays?), but it would be nice if they were using the extra time to add theming to Dragon Challenge as well...

I was at IOA yesterday and tried riding Dragon Challenge at around 10 AM, and was denied. The locker screens were all locked too. I just thought it was strange, but this clears things up.

well I can hear Dragon Challenge running right now... from my office
There were definitely running it around 10 AM on Monday. I remember being in The Lost Continent and seeing the Ice dragon go through the loop, with one person on it. Then when we approached the entrance, three Team Members were blocking it, and the lockers were all closed. So they were definitely testing it throughout the morning, with someone on it. Maybe measuring how far people's feet will be from Hogsmeade station? Hmmm...

I am lucky that from the office in my home I can see the fireworks, hear the concerts and hear the coasters.

Just FYI Universal has confirmed this Noon opening through April. As I mentioned a few months back they need this extra time for the South Station as its still the furthest behind schedule on the project. And while MAJOR progress has been made they need the time, and note there will be days it will open as early as park opening and as late as 1 or 2 in the afternoon. All depends on weather and progress made that needs to be completed by first shift that was turned over from third shift.

That's actually pretty awesome. Being in the parks makes me forget that homes, a high school and offices lie just beyond the park's boundaries.
