Downtown Disney West Side - Video Follow-Up

As a follow-up to my recent thread "Downtown Disney Improves - More Festive", I created a video clip showing what I described in that thread. The video clip was shot on Friday, June 20, 2008 between 8:30pm and 9:00pm. The video emphasizes the showing of various musicians along the thoroughfare providing free live entertainment.

Great video thanks for posting. Great addition to DTD, is it only on the West Side? or are there some in the Marketplace?

Hopefully this stays for a while and the musicans can get some lights too and expand and get some bands playing too.

My biggest question about this is how long it may or may not last. Fridays in late June obviously draw bigger crowds than tuesdays in the offseason (when I usually try to go). I wonder if Disney is doing this because it is high season and to keep more people occupied for a longer period of time, whereas when I was there last January, there were not too many people in DTD either of the times we were there, hence not as many people to entertain, hence Disney not wanting to spend the money to employ entertainers to entertain 25 people?? :shrug: Cause it definitely seems to make the environment much more interactive and inviting, so I would like to see it too. Is this going to be a nightly thing through the summer, or just on weekends? Seems like a great idea. I LOVE the atmosphere of DTD, but compared with City Walk, it is seriously lacking in an overall nightlife vibe.

Nightly, at least for Dominic, the musician who plays the guitar like Van Halen and also plays the Australian "didgeridoo". I assume the other musicians have a similar schedule.
