WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE POSSIBLITIES OF PUTTING A THRILL PARK NON THEMED BUT DISNEY NEAR DOWNTOWN DISNEY TO DRAW PEOPLE WHO LOVE THE UNIVERSAL PARKS!

Here's one, don't use Caps lock. Second, NOPE. Why destroy attendence at the other parks? They have budget cuts and such, so why sould we dump MORE money into a *new* park?

Jim Hill (AHAH!) repored a while ago that DD would receve a Space Shot or Turbo Drop sometime, but it never happened.

Also, no theme = stooping lower than Six Flags. Ouch...

a.) Um, if you saw it, you'll realize it was Disney just trying to kill a series so the stock holders are happy. (And the show cost less than a non themed thrill park.)

b.) Don't use caps because it's hard to read. Thanks.

I'm not trying to be rude, but you shouldn't be so harsh to people when they are talking to you. He wasn't saying anything wrong, he was just trying to help. If you didn't know CAPS are used to show yelling, they are also harder to read. So use lower case just to make it easier for others to read, and try not to be so rude to other members.

Push Nevada was a pretty good show in my opinion...

Anyway, I like DD the way it is. A huge crowd draw like that would destroy the relaxed shopping atmosphere.

It wouldn't work

1. The area is a nightlife area, not a park area.
2. I don't think a park of any sort (except tiny) could be built near Downtown Disney.
3. Adding a park would just make traffic (one of the most congested areas at Disney) worse.

:) Hey, I don't want to be a part of your fighting but here is my opinion...

I think it would be cool and appropriate to build a Skyshot or whatever you want to call it in DD. Not a whole park. One single thing that would be fun to do at night in DD. It would have a great view of the area and would be worth Disney charging $5 or whatever they wanna do. I go upto the Virgin Megastore's cafe and sit for a half hour just for the cool view at night. I definitely (along with many others) would pay a small fee to ride this! It would be good (in my opinion) to be near Cirque.

That's just my thoughts on the issue!

Why do people seem to miss out on the point of Disney? Disney is not about being Universal or Six Flags or any of the other "thrill" parks...its about family and magic. If anything, Disney needs more rides that are themed to feel magical that can be enjoyed by the whole family. I personally feel they are getting too far from their roots as it is...no longer can I take my grandparents along and have them be able to ride all the rides with me, heck, my mom can't even go on some of 'em. Let's keep Disney as it was meant to be...a place for FAMILIES to go for a magical vacation.

IMHO.....

1. No Skyshot...I'd really hate to see Disney sink to the standards of cheapie roadside parks.

2. Grimone24, all caps are terribly hard to read and, as others have quite correctly pointed out, is generally construed as yelling....Do all of our eyes a favor and ditch the cap-lock!

3. Testtrack321, you were not at all rude - I thought you were very tactful in expressing your points :)

Thanks! I have a little luck on my shoulder. My sister is one of the recruiters (i.e. she is the assistant to the woman who interviews me)! But that doesn't mean anything... I still have to be on the ball.

I think that would be a bad idea. First, Disney is not about thrill rides, and never should be. Second, this would only create congestion and ruin the ambience of Downtown Disney. I don't think that they should add skycoasters either, it's really cheesy, and Disney could do better than that.

That whole area is already jammed, why make it worse? And if you want a thrill ride, go to a park that has them... People go to DD to eat, relax and shop, and you already have Disney Quest to compensate for the "attraction" section. Again, why put anything else?

I know that there is already one in the MK...but what about a nice carousel on the lake front? Also, maybe a little cafe area with it themed similar to the Chalkdrawing Adventure from Mary Poppins where Mary and Bert take tea...

Just my twohundredths of a dollar...

Hey everyone,

As many people have said already, doing a thrill area in DD would be very un-disneyesque. In fact, the thought to Disney doing any thrill park is quite un disneyesque. I do believe that Disney Quest carries all the load of thrill that DD needs. Ever go down there on a Cast Member night at PI or even just the weekends, that holds the rest of the thrill in my opinion lol. DD already gets quite crowded nearly every night as it is. There's really no need for any more attractions there.

Thanks,
Brian
