Downtown Disney Parking

Anyone have tips on parking at DTD? I read that they are offering parking across the street in the casting parking log. Is it easier to just park there and walk across or attempt the garage. What has been your experience for getting in and out of the garge with traffic/timing? I am contemplating taking the buses from our resort there even though we rent a car. DH likes to frequent DTD for the dining experiences and do not want to waste too many hours getting in and out of there.

If you are in a WDW resort hotel, the bus is ideal, no parking issues.

If you are going by car, during the daytime it couldn't be any easier - park straight in the garage, there are thousands of spaces.

If you are going by car in the evenings, it can be more difficult. There is still ground parking behind La Nouba, and across the street at Team Disney and Casting. There will be cast members directing you to the best option.

In most scenarios, the parking garage should be your first port of call.

Good to know. Thanks for the info. Never been to the area before but I've been warn by cast member that traffic time will be around 3pm to 5pm in DTD.

I would take the bus. The buses are using the back roads (in some cases including service roads) to access DTD in a timely fashion. Depending on the current traffic rules, getting to the parking garage (which is extremely nice!) can be a challenge coming from the west side of the resort.

It was tough sometimes getting in from the west side when they had multiple entrances, I am envisioning more difficulty with the single entrance now
