Just been staying at the Port Orleans Riverside for the 7th time in 7 years (once a year since 1996) and on the Sassagula River Cruise one of the drivers told us that the Institute is currently being all done up to make a new DVC resort. The Treehouses will be kept and the trees beside them will be cut back. There will be some new construction 1000 units will be created or that will be the size of the new resort.
Also we were informed that there will be offices built where the parking lot currently is or near enough there. And then there is some houses of the institute that are surrounded in a green fence. He told us these will be bulldozed and the Disney East Side created. He gave no indication of when but it could be around when the new DVC resort opens in 2005.
