Does anyone know if the Kodak photo places at WDW can download images from a digital still camera and print them for you (so that you can keep taking more pictures)? I have the camera but not a laptop to lug down there with me...! Thanks!

well how many pictures does your camera hold? I have one that can hold 663 pictures. I dont believe you can download pictures from those kiosks.

I looked into that 2 years ago and they said that they could take your card from your camera and deliver print outs to your resort the next morning. Only bad thing is that you won't have your card, so you can't take any more pictures until you get it back.

Might just be worth buying an additional media card instead... if you are using memory sticks from Sony, I know they have dropped their prices this month...

Thanks! I do have two memory cards, so this is a great help! I was going to leave the digital at home and just take the 35mm, but now I will bring both!

You could also purchase a cheap laptop and take it with you. Then you could download your pictures every night and you would probably never run out of space.

It costs a lot up front, but I certainly think it's worth it in the long run.

If that's all she was going to do with it, she'd be better off with a digital wallet.... They come in sizes as small as 3 gigs and I think are now available in sizes up to 20 gigs. Even with the highest resolutions of most consumer level cameras, the 3 gig would probably provide more than enough room for all the pictures she would take on her trip...

Should you decide to go that route I'd like to offer you a little tip: Some of the cameras offer a burst mode that allows you to take more than one picture one right after the other (usually up to about 8) If you have the space, I recommend you taking at least four pictures of everything this way, especially if you are taking pictures of people. Sometimes it's amazing how much of a difference a second can make and you'll probably find that the first picture in the series will not necessarily be your favorite. :)

The laptop idea worked well for me last May. I got an old 486 25Mhz laptop with a serial port and 300MB harddrive.. Because the harddrive was not big enough to store the pics I took, I also brought my zip drive. So using the serial connector on my digital camera...

camera ==> laptop ==> zip drive ==> removeable zip disks

This worked out for me because it was extremely cheap being I already had the zip drive and disks. Most would consider that laptop trash, but in this case, I put an old-timer to work each night. The laptop was like $20 off eBay.
