We are having a discussion on old school Nickelodeon TV shows and Doug was brought up. I am not sure how everything went with Doug & Disney since I never really cared much for Doug. I am guessing that maybe Disney lost its rights to Doug since they got rid of Doug Live!, right? I just want to make sure. Thanks.

Once Disney got the rights they kinda missed-used them a bit and tried to mess with the show too much (ie Rodger is rich, etc), they then lost viewers. I think Disney still owns the rights to the new episodes, with Nick owning the rights to the old.

I was in the show as Quail Boy in March '99. Oh yeah, and Doug kicks @ss.

I liked the new episodes of doug. The new plots gave it something new. The live show was also really good...too bad they got rid of it (and replaced it with nothing).
