i was bummed out after last week with everything and then to add salt to the wound hearing all the negative impact on the disney company.
wdw resort lost a lot of money since just last week and so did the rest of the company-not like before when the other divisions carried slower ones to helpp compnay out as a whole.all are down due to lowered advertising on abc and other disney owned channels as well as the fear of flying which effects the theme parks.
overall its a not so pretty picture for now but like always disney rebounds.keep in mind this is only one of many traumas to the disney empire.when walt was alive he had major artist strikes which almost crippled his animation bus. in the 1940s,after walt died to 1984 when eisner came to play disney stock was a joke-it wasnt even considered part of the hollywood. it was known for cheesy money loosing movies -they only thing that kept the company afloat was theme parks-which until eisner made no major efforts except epcot in 1982.desert storm had decreased park attendance as well(not as bad as this time though)-when disney world first opened it took a year to start turning profits-now look at it!-same with euro disney which died for first couple of years-now one of the most popular tourist destinations in not just france but all europe-california adventure will see its glory days soon with some new great ideas coming into play which will make that park very profitable in time-eisner has a plan of seeing glory again -with some major plans by 2004-some new lion king type money makers,new parks,resorts,disney store plans, and other efforts that will bring that stock price actually past the 42 dollar mark and upwards. make no mistake disney will not faulter by no means-just like being an army they were hit hard and wounded by the enemy but the generals are rethinking their stratagy and when they come back in full force they will take back what is theirs and be victorious and be the company we all want and love-help out next time in walmart buy the disney book or shirt u really not need or by a disney video or stop by the disney store and get that watch u always wanted-we can all help
