Just a heads up that TiVo (at least the series 1 standalone version) has a special star ad for a chance to win a WDW vacation and also order a DVD planning kit. Whether the planning DVD (kit) will be the same as on the website, who knows, but I know some of you collect them nonetheless. :)

Get clicking on your TiVo! :)

I'd rather see a Sig of 5 lines instead of this!

Not on my series 1 :(
(not yet anyway)

Any chance you could capture it to your computer? We thrive on stuff like that at #disney-central. :)

I don't see how I would ... theres no option to save to VCR like I normally would ... I guess I could just have my AIW capture it like it was a TV playing ... I'll see what I can do.

Direct TV receivers with TIVO also received the update as well. the wife and I watched it both of our machines. There should be video & audio outs on the back of the unit. If you connect to a VCR, you can save them to VHS tapes.

We aren't eligable, though, because the wife works for Leo Burnett and she does advertising for the Mouse.

That's ok though - my wife gave a me a stay at the Contemporary in June during Star Wars weekend as an anniversary gift!!!!:sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

Unfortunately the non-DirectTV TiVo receivers (standalone TiVo) did not receive the video portion you DirecTV people are talking about. Hoping you guys can capture the video to your PC, so the rest of us standalone TiVo and non-TiVo households can also see.

Actually, I'm non-Direct TV. But I do have my TiVo hooked up broadband instead of phone. I'll try my luck on this tomorrow.

Really me too, though series 1 hacked with a turbonet card for network connection (so I could eliminate our landline telephone line and save $25/month). No video for me :(

So if you can capture the footage from your TiVo, we'll all be happy. :sohappy:

I have 2 TiVo's in the house, and for some reason the one that is hooked to the main TV, with the Burning equipment never received the WDW Promo, but the secondary one did, so I just took my camcorder and shot the screen. Its rough, but ya'all get to see the video.

Here is a highly compressed 2.5mb version. If someone wants to host a 20mb lesser compressed file, send me a PM.

Go here for the video, http://s25843.neptune.com click on Enter site, and there will be a link to the video

All this talk has me wishing our tivo was working. It stopped downloading when we brought in DSL (sprint). Anyone out there with DSL and tivo? How do you make it work?

Sorry for the digression, but this has been a big problem for us. tivo customer service has not been able to help us.

What kind of TiVo do you have? Series 1 standalone, Series 2? DirecTV receiver w/ TiVo service (series 1 or 2)?

Does your TiVo have a modem jack to receive daily listings and guide info from your telephone line? I'm going to have to assume you have a standalone series 2 and you are using an USB ethernet adapter to receive these daily listings. How did you receive the guide before you switched to DSL? DirecTV receivers with TiVo service do not require phone lines or network connections to receive the listings.. they get it right off the DirecTV satellites.

I will wager a guess that when you switched to DSL, your home LAN was configured differently and your TiVo is not getting an IP address from your router, so it is not really using your DSL Internet connection. You may want to call your router manufacturer to get some suggestions. Make sure your router is set as DHCP server so when TiVo notices the network connection your router will give it an IP address.

This may seem obvious, but have you tried rebooting your TiVo?

Orrr, You may have noticed that when they installed your DSL they put a small filter on all the phones in your house. Chances are, they did not install one for your TiVo.

Buy one of these at Radio Shack, and you will probally be all set!
