I have been here for 2 days my my mde plans sections refuses to load 90% of the time. I have everything on my planning sheet but this made checking in for reservations kinda hard. I have tried logging out and in and everything I can think of. It shows up sometimes so all my info is linked but yikes.. and they want us to "trust" genie soon....

Make sure to photos or confirmation numbers Incase this happens to you.the rest of the app stuff seems to work just fine tho.

Tldr: mde is a hot mess

Did you try swiping down on that page to refresh? Sometimes mine does that and it reloads them.

The biggest problem I have is it dropping my Swalphin reservations from My Plans after I’ve booked park reservations based on those reservations. happens all the time. I am at the point I am checking daily because I am worried my Park ressies will be deleted if the hotel ressies aren’t showing.

LMAO 🤣🤣🤣 I have everything on MDE but also always have my plans written down and with me as a back up. Its sometimes quicker for me to just look up my plans in my small notebook than refer to the MDE site. DS whose a tecchie says I'm old fashioned and I have to get with the times. But my "old style system" has never failed me.

What we do... every important doc get's saved as a PDF. Airline data, Restaurant Reservations, and a total CAPTURE of our MDE data.
Those PDF's go to our Cell Phones, our Android Tablet, onto a private Cloud Server, and onto PAPER, that we carry.

MDE plans are notoriously hard to "save as PDF", or "print as PDF". Got Chrome? Use this legit CHROME extension... FIRE SHOT. Regardless of MDE flaws? THIS will allow you to do a full PDF capture of MDE "My Plans", as you actually SEE them.

There is no way, after multiple years at WDW, that my family would rely on MDE for anything serious.

Yea I tried everything I could I ended up deleting the app and re downloading it. Seems to be better but still only works about half the time.

Sorry for your troubles, OP! We had some issues with trying to get dining reservations to display at check-in points (e.g., San Angel Inn) last time. Fortunately, I'd screen-shot all our confirmations, so I had access to the numbers even though my phone was in some sort of dead zone and couldn't pull up my e-mail confirmations or MDE. A hard copy or picture-based backup is always a good idea (and now that they've seen it in action, my kids have stopped poking fun at my old-timey, belt-and-suspenders approach).

I have all mine in card size laminated hole punched on a circle clip heh. My husband thought I was nuts till our bag got wet and all our snack cheat sheets and confirmation numbers were dry still :)

THIS. Totally THIS. Trust MDE the way you trust the IRS 😅
COPY all DATA, and be ready to present it.

What he said... lol. I have entire spreadsheets with all our trip info including confirmation numbers as a back up - just in case. I convert the spreadsheets to PDFs and keep them on my phone for quick access. Storing an actual file on your phone is a must in case you have really slow or non-existent service... that can make downloading your files a challenge.

I will say that in the past (pre-pandemic) we have had very few issues with reservations working through our magic bands. But it never hurts to have a backup... and can help relieve the anxiety of worrying about your reservation working...
