Hey guys, I need a little help.

I have ALWAYS gone to Chef Mickey's on my vacations, but this time it's completely booked for the whole week I am there. The Disney reservations cast member reccommened the Donalds Safari Breakfast as an alternative.

If I am used to Chef Mickey's and love it...how well do you think I will like Donalds Safari? Do they have the same atmosphere and close to the same experience?

Any and any help would be greatly appreciated!

I haven't done Donald's breakfast, but all of the character breakfasts I have done are pretty comparable.

My favorite (even over Chef Mickey's) was at Ohana.

I did go to Ohana once, The only reason I didn't like it so much is I like the buffet style of Chef Mickeys.

I am taking my boyfriend there for his first time, and I am trying to make it a trip he till never forget. I want him to feel like he is in a whole different dimension as soon as we go thru the Disney gates, just like I do every time. I have been going since I was a kid and the magic has never worn off.

I've been to Donald's Safari Brekfast at Tusker House and it's very nice. The food is buffet style and very good.

They have Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck. This is the only character meal Daisy appears at.

We really enjoyed Crystal Palace and Donald's Safari Breakfast. A bonus with Donald's is that if you make your ADR's for before the park opens, you can be one of the first in line for the safari. I'm not a big fan of Chef Mickey's though. I liked the atmosphere better when it was in DTD than I do now with it at Contemporary.

Thanks everyone, not surprised, but Donalds Safari Breakfast is all booked up too. A Disney trip is not complete without a Character Breakfast, so I went ahead and booked Crystal Palace. It's not a Mickey venue, but I have been there before and enjoyed it.

The Crystal Palace Character Buffet was excellent in my opinion, I thought it was comparable to Chef Mickeys.

Took the words out of my mouth! We've done The Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's and Donald's Breakfast Safari. They are all good but I think the Crystal Palace is sort of Chef Mickeyish, even though the characters are Winnie the Pooh and friends and at DBS you'll find Mickey, Donald, Daisy and Goofy.

You know where we've eaten a coupld of times and REALLY enjoy is the character breakfast at the Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club. It's kinda hard to get there so we have to leave kind of early using the busses but it's always been good there. They have a ton of stuff so there's always something for everyone.

Hmm, any more info on the Cape May Character Meal? I'm intrigued, as we tend to use the Epcot-Boardwalk/Beach Club boatway once a trip.

New here, first post. My family and I were at Donald's Breakfast Safari back in April. We chose it because we loved Breakfastsaurus several years back. I have not been to Chef mickey's yet, but Donald's is a great breakfast. The characters and food are excellent. We will be at the Contemporary in November and eating at Chef Mickey's. I will know more then how they compare, but that is probably too far off for you.

I would not be too concerned. The breakfast is excellent. Another plus is that you are right at the Safari for one of the first treks out in the morning.

Did Donald's breakfast back on '98 when AK first opened and really enjoyed it - DD loved the theming and the food was really good. Going back again this next trip in December - nephew9 LOVES Donald (and dinosaurs), so we're hoping it's still as good as I remember.
