"Dollar Rent a Car"

I just reserved a compact car from Dollar.

Does anyone have any experience with them at MCO?

It says Ford Focus or similar. I'd be happy with that. Is that what you've actually been getting?

I believe I used them once before and they were fine. Best bet is to go up to the desk and ask the agent if they will give you a free upgrade to a bigger car.

And not sure when your trip is, but I suggest that you go out at least weekly to all of the rental companies and re-run your rental. I have found the closer it gets, the cheaper it gets. And since there is no penalty for cancelling, you can drop your price substantially.

Also, make sure to check out the car rental codes at mousesavers.com and apply them.

We've rented several times from Dollar and always had good service from them. The cars have not always been the model quoted, but always at least as good, and sometimes better (we have to rent full size due to my husband's height). I agree with the previous poster about continuing to check with their website. Prices fluctuate throughout the week even, and some discount codes are better than others. We've had good luck with the BJ's Wholesale Club link, as well as the "specials" listed right on the Dollar site.

Rented from there a few years ago and had a good experience. They pushed the insurance but my friend's dad does insurance and advised us not to get it. The car we had was a small dodge caliber at the time.

I have tried once or twice only. My job contain lots of traveling so I always tried to find car rental service providers often. I have found http://www.tripntourpackages.com/ and http://www.rentalcars.com/ very reasonable and affordable rental service provider. There is no need to use any kind of coupons at all.

I recently moved down here and so my bf has been making trips back and forth (we're originally from CT) as he's still looking for a job - and he's gotten his rental car from Dollar the past few times. He hasn't had any issues, and I know they have a discount for AAA members that you can look into.

Friends don't let Friends use Dollar, Just google them I am sure some people have had good experiences but you get what you pay for - dirty cars, fees and counter people with attitude
