It's near the Swiss Family Tree Houise. Aloha Isle is the name of the place. :) Dole Whips (and Pineapple Floats) are very :slurp:

Dole Whips! My favorite!

If you cross over to Adventureland from Main Street, it's on your right-hand side first thing. Sit on the veranda and enjoy! If you get to the Jungle Cruise, you've gone too far!

I dream about these between visits....

I've never had these. What's the difference between the Dole Whip and the Pinapple Float?
Technically, "Dole Whip" is the brand name. Any of the flavors - chocolate, vanilla, pinapple or swirl - is a Dole Whip. It's just people use the term to mean the pineapple flavor since the only place to get the pineapple flavor is at the Dole-sponsered "Aloha Isle" location.

A Pineapple float is a pineapple Dole Whip soft-serve with pineapple juice. Think rootbeer float only change the vanilla soft-serve into pineapple and the rootbeer into pineapple juice. (You can also do a pineapple/vanilla swirl in pineapple juice if you rather.)

They are the best thing in all of the World. And an absolute must-eat treat!

Thanks for the info. I am definately planning on getting one since I've heard you all rave abou them for weeks. I just wanted to be sure I got the right thing. Didn't want to order wrong and pull a "soup nazi" at Disney. LOL!

A friend of mine worked at Aloha Isle and she said they get it in a premixed powder form and put it in the machine, so there is no "recipe" to beg off the staff there--I tried! :)

In one of the other Dole Whip threads I linked the manufacturer of the mix. Its late and I'm too lazy to go looking for it now.

I was in Maui for a little over a week this June because my sister got married... Even eating at the finest restaurants, the desserts in Hawaii still pailed in comparison to Dole Whips. This coming from the land of pineapple treats!

Also... That area just to the right of the stand (while looking at it) makes for one of the best people-watching places in all of WDW... My friends and I would order one, we'd sit there for 30+ minutes and just watch the girls walk by. Oh, and watch the "tourists" too.

I'm planning on having one this coming trip since I've never had one before either and after reading all the good things about them, I just have to try one.
