Dole Whip different

Tell me I'm not crazy. Have you ever gotten a Dole Whip that doesn't taste right? Several times I've gotten one that tastes like flavored ice cream instead of it's normal fruity, thicker consistency. Last time I was at Disney, my wife got one and I didn't until I took a bite of hers. When I got mine it wasn't right. I actually took it back. The girl tried a different machine and it was great. Anyone else have this experience?:veryconfu

Dole Whip or Not Dole Whip?.

Correct if iam wrong but there's a Dole Whip Swirl, and a Dole Whip soft serve,also a float,is that correct?.Or iam I just getting my whips mixed up.:shrug:

That's true. The swirl is the Dole Whip swirled with vanilla soft serve, the soft serve is just the Dole Whip, and the float is the Dole Whip with pineapple juice.

I've never had a problem with my Dole Whip, but the OP is not the first person I've heard with this issue. I guess sometimes some batches just don't come out as well as others.

I have never run into the issue before but it sounds like it might a case of human error. The mix for a Dole Whip is a pre-bagged powder. All they do is dump in a bag add water and they are done. To my knowledge the contents of that bag have not changed in quite some time. My guess is someone might have mistakenly thrown in a vanilla bag into a Dole whip machine.

the local park i work at has dole whips and i worked the stand at the end of last season. what it sounds like to me is someone was hurrying and did not get the mix mixed correctly. yes the mix has to be mixed before it is placed in machine and also the machine can freeze up which happened to us one day. this could cause changes in taste and looks.
