Does Valet Parking at Deluxe Resorts have hours of operation?

Strange question...Are there "open" and "close" times for the valet parking at resorts like Contemporary, Grand Floridian, etc.? In other words, do they only operate during certain hours? If so, does anyone know what those hours are? What happens if you need to get your car from valet at an odd hour?

Thanks in advance for any info!

There's always someone around. If it's late, sometimes we have to go to the front desk and they will track down someone to park/pick up our car. They are usually running on only one person late at night, but they never close. Just be prepared to wait a bit if needed.

11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a few exceptions like BW where they'll keep an extra person a little later there is just one person. In that time period if the person isn't readily available the front desk will have to call that person by radio. If you know your going to need your care late at night or early in the morning, it can help to tell them some time in the evening prior, they can give the overnight person a heads up to expect someone at a certain time.

While we are on the subject of valet parking, didn't they change the pricing structure in the last couple of years to make it hideously more expensive? I remember hearing that, but don't recall the details.

I'm pretty sure it's comparable to the park pricing - somewhere around $14/day. DVC members also no longer get free valet parking too I read.

It is $12 per day, which is pretty reasonable compared to other hotel valet charges. It is also unlimited for the day and can be used at all of the hotels with only the one charge. It does however seem a bit expensive when compared to the self parking which for now at least is free.
