Does This Sound Right - Trip Quote

Hi All. We came into a little bit of money and was thinking on taking a long weekend trip in September to take advantage of the free dining plan. So, I called up Disney and they quoted me $781.00 for Sept.15-18th, staying at Pop Century, 3 day park hopper ticket and the free dining. It would be 2 adults and one child, under 3. Do you think maybe they included a ticket for my 2 yr old? I was thinking this would be closer to like 600.00.

Help anyone???

Thanks

Yep, that sounds right. I went to www.disneyworld.com and put in your vacation plans and that is exactly what it gave me.

I hope you enjoy your trip.

EDIT: That price is with the PREFERRED ROOM location. If you take that off, it comes to $740.86. The higher price is due to the tickets. The longer you buy the tickets for the cheaper they are per day. A three-day park hopper is over $70/day.

(A 2-year-old does NOT need a park pass.)

It sounds like a reasonable deal to me, but If you feel that package price is high, you might want to contact Kingdom Konsultant and check with her.

THanks all. Can someone from Kingdom Konsultants respond and let me know if there is anything cheaper? Just seems like a lot for such a short trip.

I think I might look into a weekend trip to Lancaster instead and try out Dutch Wonderland. I have not been there since I was little and I think my son is the perfect age now...

Thanks all

If you go with a 3 day single park ticket, non-preferred view, it looks to be around $650.28. If you add the park hopper option, it's $735.48. At least that's what I came up with on the WDW site. And just for fun I checked on 5 nights, with a park hopper and it was $200.00 more. Which is interesting because your getting two more nights, two more days of park hopping tickets and two more days of free dining.

I love Disney, don't get me wrong. I just think it stinks how the ticket prices run for a handfull of days compared to say 8 or 10 days. I guess they really try to 'encourage' the longer stay....

Well the longer you stay the more you spend in the parks and thats what they are hoping. Thats why it only cost 200 more to spend 2 more days in the parks. I do miss that pay for 4 stay for 7 deal they had a couple years ago but I guess that the economy and travel buisness has gotten a lot better.

Just so you know...that sounds right to me too. I was thinking of going with my mom in Sept. and that was pretty much where the Disney website quoted me at. (I also went for 3 days back in Jan and that was where I was at too.) This is why my fiance and I are planning on going longer for our next trip...b/c it's basically the longer you stay, the better the prices look.

To be truthful though...over $700 doesn't sound that bad to me though for 3 days because if you think about it...with the dining plan and ME, it's like staying at an all-inclusive resort. You won't have to pay for anything but plane tickets, which can be found for cheapish by flying Southwest, and souvineers. I am planning a wedding down in Jamaica and the cost of all-inclusive for my friends who are staying for 3 days is over $800.

I like that myself. I upgraded our stay to 9/8 mid Aug because of the free dining and small addition for tix. 2 adults 3 kids 1 under 3 at AS Sports 9/8 PH with WP and More for 1800. Money I saved on dining this time went to plane tixs rather than wasting a day traveling.

With MYW tix, there is a HUGE penalty on ticket prices for a shorter trip. If you stay 3 days longer, the price of a ticket per day will go down significantly. If you have a 10 day pass w/hopper, the price goes down to around 35 bucks a day. It is just the penalty you take for having less days, and the hopper booster doesn't spread out as well over three days as it would over more days. The old tickets would get you in on a 3 day hopper for around 50 bucks a day, and you are now paying over 70 a day. If you are interested in saving money in the long run, buy the 10 day and add the no expiration, and you can get 2 more trips out of your tickets for about double the price. That's kinda like buying 2 3 day hoppers and getting a 4 day hopper free. It's just the way WDW is doing tix now. It's still cheaper than spending more than 100 per day for single park hoppers. They want you to stay longer -- and will surely reward you.

Just wondering if anyone from Kingdom Konsultants got in touch with you...if you need any help you can drop me an email.

Thanks Evan and all. My DH and I talked and decided to pass on it and just take a few day and weekend trips closer to our home. Then, we will just take a longer trip next November 10-14 days.....just so far away...

Hope I can make it that long
