Does the Monorail go one direction?

Does the Resort Monorail loop go counterclockwise only? In other words if you are at the MK and want to go to the Contemporary do you have to make the entire loop to get there? The same for getting from the Grand FL to MK. If so, how long does it take to make that loop? I realize if there is only one track you would have no choice unless they have some levitation trick I am umaware of. I just wasn't sure if the loop actually had two tracks.

The resort monorail runs clockwise. A complete circuit might be 10-15 minutes or so. Most of that time is spent sitting at the stations.

The Contemperary is the first stop and GF is the last stop before it goes to MK. There are three tracks that the monorail travels on. Epcot, the Resort in the MK area, and the express monorail that goes to an from the TTC and the MK.

They have, at times, loaded guests at the Contemporary wishing to go to the Magic Kingdom onto the express line. Mostly during morning EMH's. It's not often that they do it, but it has happened.

The trains are capiable of running in 2 directions, but they only run in 1.
