Does Starbucks app work in WDW?

Anyone used it there yet? Can you redeem rewards from the starbucks app in WDW?

You can use the app for purchases, but you can't redeem rewards. I tried to get my birthday free drink while there and couldn't. But they could scan-to-pay using the app.
