Does Star Wars change your mind on attending D23?

BlueSkyDisney touched on a point today about Star Wars topics at D23

That got me thinking... D23 Expo sure could be a hell of a lot more interesting if there was a huge LucasFilm presence. From ILM.. to gaming.. to the films.

Does Disney's acquisition of LucasFilm potentially change your view of attending D23?

My interest would be greater. I love the Expo, but the only thing stopping me from attending this year's is the crowd. It was so crowded the last time and I didn't get to see anything I wanted to see. It was a letdown.

But even without the new stuff.. think of all the goodies LucasFilm has that they could put on display...
In terms of content outside films, it would not interest me personally. Exhibits by Skywalker Sound or Industrial Light and Magic could be cool, but I doubt they'd be as great experienced over the Internet. The finances just won't work for me this year so there is no real thought as to attending, but such exhibits could influence my future thoughts.

In a word, no, since I live in Maryland and it's a bit of a ways to go, but I'd probably follow it fairly closely.

I was already going to the Expo, I don't think this would have influenced me one way or the other.

It totally would. I attended Star Wars Celebration in Denver back in 99. Best time ever! Got a lightsaber picture as a jedi in hutt's place (courtesy of ILM engineers), got a book signed by Timothy Zahn, got to meet celebs and get pics with em, got to see a lot of awesome vendors/exhibits, bought an original SWs poster for super cheap, etc. They should definitely consider having a strong presence of the force at D23.

I agree. But I feel that they know that if they don't announce anything, some fanboys will light a fire under their butts.

The problem wasn't announcements, the problem was the amount of people there. Beyond crowded. I went, spent about an hour looking at things, said screw this and left. I'm sure it'll be the same thing this year. Probably even worse.
