Does Disneyland want to remove the Haunted Mansion?

I'm taking this with a grain of salt since this is the first and only time I've heard of such a thing. Wouldn't make sense considering last I heard they were developing a new HM movie.

Yeah, it also just dawned on me that it can't possibly be true. Why would Disneyland bulldoze a ride to create a "Caribbean land" when they already transformed Tom Sawyer Island into "Pirate land?"

There's no way this would ever happen. Not only is it the original, but it's a cult classic with a huge following. Not to mention Haunted Mansion Holiday! If they ever attempted to get rid of Mansion, it'd be off with their heads. All the Disneyland fans would be so ed and there would be an uproar.

And why would WDW go out of its way to knock down its Mansion to move Pirates there when there's already a Caribbean-themed area around Pirates with some quasi-available land in Adventureland? That was when I really started to suspect something. When I clicked on the link to the petition and it took me to the Fringe page on the Fox website, I was pretty sure it was a joke.
