Does Disney own Run Disney

Does the Walt Disney Company own runDisney? Now I know it sounds like it would be an obvious "yes" but I can't really locate any real ties other than the name. It's not listed under any lists of assets nor is it hosted on the traditional go.com website.

Does anyone have any background information in runDisney? Is it merely a separate company set up to protect the theme parks or the Walt Disney Company from liability or is it a completely separate entity that has an agreement with Disney World and Disneyland?

runDisney is owned by Disney. It's a brand that falls under Disney Sports that was started in 2010.

yep, what @GSpiff said. Although, it should be pointed out that TrackShack actually handles a lot of the logistics/organization of the actual events at WDW. One of the reasons your proof of time emails go to a trackshack email address
