Does anyone remember the Admiral Benbow Motel in Kissimme?

This may be the wrong forum for this, but I thought I'd try. Does anyone remember this motel? We stayed there on our first trip to WDW in 1978. Our room was overlooking an orange grove and the smell of the trees from incredible. It was just a small motel and was all we could afford at the time.

Sad to say, our next trip to the World was in 1996 and we stayed at the Contemporary.

Our kids were 3 and 5 at the time and I can't find any pictures of the motel from that trip and was wondering if anyone here remembered it. Neither of them believe we actually stayed at a place called Admiral Benbow's.

I happened across your question because "Admiral Benbow" just popped into my head while working on a Thursday morning. My grandparents and I stayed at a motel by that name somewhere along our route from Virginia to Florida heading to WDW sometime in the 1970s. Unfortunately, any other details are long gone from my memory. I have a handful of photos from that trip - I'll look and see if there were any that show the Admiral.

From what I understand it was a chain on the east coast. It was our first trip and in almost 35 years, I've only found one person that ever heard of it. If I remember correctly, there were building a Sheraton property across the street at the time, which I'm sure has changed names several times since then.
