Hey there. When I was at Epcot in March, someone asked me what happens in the Odysee Center. You Know, that building between Test Track and the Mexico pavillion. Yeah, well, when he asked me that, it struck me...What does happen in that building, and what exactly is it for? Can someone help me out with this?

I'm not sure but I think it is used as a convention center?

It used to be a restaurant, but isn't open to the public anymore. Last I heard, they were using it for private parties/conventions and so forth.

The only thing I know of that happens there is the Food Among the Flowers brunch that is held during the Flower and Garden Show.

It is used for Flower and Garden. I don't know if the Food among the Flowers brunch was the Mother's Day Brunch. In 2001, they had a Mother's Day Brunch there.

Organizations have used it for banquets.

As part of the college program, I had one or two luncheons there. Back when they where doing pin celebrations counting down to the big event in Aug, the Epcot cast pin party was in there.

As far as most guests are concerned, it's got restrooms and a first aid station. Like everyone else said, it is also used for banquets although I understand the World Showplace (former Millennium Villiage) is supposed to be taking over all of those duties.

If it serves no REAL purpose, let's gut it, rip it down/remodel it into a ride/restaurant/exhibit/nap area/stroller rental/snow conestand/anything......

I'm not sure of diminsions, but I think World Showplace would be much better suited to be gutted and used as something new.

True, but the odyssey is in the way and serves no purpose....let's put something there rather than an obstruction.

It does have a porpose, it is used for the food & wine festival and the flower show.

Whenever I've passed by it in the past, I've seen cast members come out with "food boxes." Is it a cafeteria for cast members now?
