My wife refuses to ride it because of the same feeling that she will fly off the track.I heard it was safety upgrades. I certainly feel like Im going to be the one that flies off the track every time. The catalyst for this refurb might Be the increased amount of riders they expect after Screamin goes down.

Haha. It's definitely the second scariest ride at DLR.

Out of curiosity what's the first? For me, it used to be Tower of Terror but that's gone now.
I thought that was the whole point of a Wild Mouse ride like Goofy's...
"Born to be Wild" and Monsters After Dark do indeed have identical ride profiles100% Mickeys Fun Wheel (swinging gondolas). I recently went on MAD and that would probably be third on my list since the drop profile was really unpredictable. It immediately caught me off guard. Someone said that the MAD drop profile is the same as the "Born to be Wild" drop profile on MB. I hope that's true and I don't have to wait until next Halloween.
Yep...just pointing out that the ride doesn't "work" for her.I thought that was the whole point of a Wild Mouse ride like Goofy's...
"Born to be Wild" and Monsters After Dark do indeed have identical ride profilesand now that Tyler Bates has released the Monsters After Dark song, with some careful sound editing and headphones, you could in theory recreate Monsters After Dark when riding the normal Mission: Breakout profile!
It should be dismantled and replaced with another dark ride.

Understood, I was just stating it was the point of that type of ride system for those that don't know.
But I do agree with others, that space should (and probably will in the future) be used for something else like another dark ride. If Disney wants to turn DCA into a "coaster" style park, a small indoor coaster would be cool.
If they re not going to turn into a dark ride at least give us a VR Ride.
Blah, VR rides are so last year. I don't think the VR ride experience is something Disney wants to do. Iger has already stated it was a direction with attractions they weren't pursuing.
Oh right, so much more blah than an off the shelf wild mouse Coaster.
Who cares about Iger?
I would think you would want something so much better than just sticking goggles on your head. Talk about cheap...
As for Iger, he still has control for another year and half. So we should care.
