All of the above ;)

Its mostly based out of MGM...new parade..exhibit..cool looking hat over there by the chinese theater...its actually pretty nice. Granted its no millenium celebration, but they still did a good job with this one ;)

If you are interested in Walt and his life and legacy then you will love the celebration. The 3 new parades are great and ToD is nice (but is really a redone ToN).

The Magical Moments pins really make the celebration great. That and the surprised feeling you get when you actually walk up to the Sorceror Mickey Hat and see why they built this awesome monument. It's amazing at night, too!!

Hey just wondering, what do yinz guys think they'll put where the 100yom icon is now on the hat when the party's over?

It was nice but I am not sure it was as good as I expected it to be. The celebration was good but I personally expected more. But it is totally worth going to see.

My thoughts on the 100 Years of Magic sign has always been this:
They built the 2000 Wand 200 feet in the air, thinking that the wand would not be permanent, but when people said they liked it and Disney decided to keep it, they went through a big hastle trying to change the 2000 to say Epcot. So, when they built the Sorceror Mickey Hat, they built the 100 Years of Magic sign near the ground so it could relatively easily be changed to say either Disney-MGM Studios or Walt Disney Studios Florida, depending on when they decide to change the name (wouldn't it be interesting if you return one morning and it's suddening Walt Disney Studios Florida!)

It was Alright, but I thought the Millenium Celebration was much much better. The Hat was neat, but very cheesy. Espically when it blocked the whole Chinese Theatere out....

to give you a different viewpoint, I loved 100 Years of Magic, as it had a lot of kewl additions:
-Four new parades
-those kewl banners in the parks that light up at night
-Magical Moments Pins
-Who Wants to Be a Millionaire--PLAY IT!! (EXTREMELY popular)
-One Man's Dream (the movie at the end makes this one of the best shows disney has--but it'll make you wanna cry...)
-and I personally think the Sorceror Hat is the best celebration icon yet--it looks amazing at night--just look at the pictures from New Years with the Hat with Sorcery in the Sky in the background--I was quite impressed by it, as are most people--one of the reasons it was decided way back in December that this would be permanent and the official icon for the Disney Studios (if you get those shirts that show the four park icons, they will now have the Sorceror Hat instead of the Earfel Tower)
-you will also get to ride Primeval Whirl!, of course, which people seem to like more and more (theming aside, it looks/sounds fun)
-Animal Kingdom Lodge, my favorite Resort on property
-the moderately amusing Magic Carpets of Aladdin and TriceraTop Spin
-if you are going in 20 weeks, Journey Into Imagination with Figment will be open

So, as you can see, there are several new attractions at every park, something we didn't really see with the Millennium Celebration (also, Journey Into Your Imagination and Millennium Village opened then, which left much to be desired in most people's eyes, which is why they no longer exist). Of course, the Millennium Celebration also brought us the incredible Reflections of Earth and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster...so I can see both arguments...I believe we got Fear Every Drop for the Millennium as well.

So, each celebration saw several great changes, and we can only hope the Tower of Terror will get its best drop sequence yet before this celebration comes to a close. I can understand either argument with one being better than the other, but I don't really get the position that 100 Years is cheap or crappy...we got a lot of new stuff and I haven't heard many complaints about the new parades--except Tapestry of Dreams vs. Tapestry of Nations, but I have heard nothing but raving reviews of Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade--my favorite daytime parade.

Ditto on everything that DogsRule stated.

We went in February and had a blast. We have learned to go out and do more than just the theme parks though. During our first few trips we just did the parks and DTD. So much more though.

Make you own memories, everyone can give you their oppinion, but I'll always have MY memories.

Has anyone noticed that the one parade in MK, is a TAKE OFF from the Remember The Magic parade??? Is disney running out of ideas or what.... That parade ruined my MK day.. I dont find kids running around with banners or musical instruments cute or fun.. The parade seem to move very slow :( .. The only thing I found neat out of the parade were the snowglobes.. Now THAT was neat..... But besides the kids acting like fools playing instruments jumping around....... The parade was alright..

I like the hat in MGM but i hate the idea that its blocking the GMR entrance.. :( Big no no in my book...... The new Pins are neat..

kids acting like fools playing musical instruments? You mean the bands that open the parade? They have always been there...when I saw Share a Dream Come True, it was raining (they ran it anyway), so there were no bands, and it was just the parade...the snowglobes ARE the parade...there are some kewl effects on this parade that people don't notice...like...Peter Pan, at select points in the parade, releases Tinker Bell, and she flies through all of the parade floats, causing changes to occur on all of them...people don't notice this because Peter Pan is on the last float, but that's what disney is going for....

some of the globes start spinning...for the others, go see the parade. Now that you know what to look for, I think you'll be impressed by the effect:) It's very well thought out.

No I mean the crowds.. The parade stops at certain points and invites " children of all ages" out to have fun , dance, sing, etc... I find THAT a waste of my time.. I belive i should be watching the actual CM's doing their job. NOT babysitting... The Bands before are awesome... Why would I call one of my friends a fool that plays an instrument?

oh...sorry; my bad. I think parents love that "guest interaction". It's what made Tapestry and Magical Moments so popular. The kids also love it...

I'm not a big fan of it either...but I'm also not a fan of Toontown (w/ the exception of the Barnstormer:) ) Above all else, disney is a family park that makes their money on families. If their parades make the kids happy, that'll make the adults happy, who will spend more money on their happy kids and stay in the park longer, spending money on food.

I also don't like the kids dancing, but think how it must feel for them to get to dance in a parade. If you were 5 or so years old you would feel the same.
