Does anyone have tips for staying in Rodeway Inn Maingate Resort?

My boyfriend Josh and I will be going to Disneyland in 16 days!!! WOOOOO!!!! We are staying at the Rodeway Inn Maingate resort, which is pretty close to the Mickey & Friends Parking Garage! The plan is to walk over to the garage each morning and taking their tram over to Disneyland and DCA. When I type the walking directions in on Google, it has us walking ALL the way around to the street and then to the parking garage.
My question is, if anyone has stayed there before, can you cut through the back parking lot of Rodeway Inn and cut through all the way to the Mickey & Friends parking structure to catch the tram? Thanks in advance!!

Sorry I don't have advice but that was one of the hotels I thought about using when we go in July but changed my mind and decided to spend the extra and do the Best Western across from the entrance on Harbor.
I would guess you could call the hotel or they'll tell you when you arrive the best way to get there. You'll have to give a review on the Rodeway.
Have fun!

Yeah I know it wont be the NICEST hotel... but I've stayed in some pretty bad ones... I am most worried about the distance except that it's adjacent to that tram lot (as long as I can easily cut through to walk there!)

I am a Choice Hotel member so thought about the Rodeway and Claion and another one all within reasonable walking distance. Since we may take an afternoon break I thought a closer walk across the street and not dealing with the ART was worth it, plus my 15 year old will dig the view. Her second trip to DL. Last one was 08 so she's forgotten a lot and obviously matured.
