I was wondering how to get in contact with Disney/ABC side of the company to pitch any idea for an inspirational holiday movie. Tommy Des Brisay from Ottawa, Canada has a great Disney inspired story to tell and would make a great inspirational story for Disney to tell like Disney can. If you want to see what I am talking about, go on youtube and do a search...Autistic Runner Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade magic kingdom Nov 2013 Tommy Des Brisay You will not be disappointed!

Or disneydestinations.com and click on disney sites, scroll down and there is a place to tell them about your idea.

Indeed. More importantly, are you an authorized agent of Tommy and/ or his family? If not, they might not appreciate you acting for them.

yeah, well I read that they do not even consider outside ideas from anyone other than internally. Who knows maybe they take these ideas from outside and transform them into ideas from internally so they take all the credit! Who knows in TVland!

If someone gives them an idea, they won't even remotely do it, because that opens them up to a legitimate lawsuit. So, basically, proposing something is an absolute way to kill it.

I guess that the way to have total control over a project! By coming up with ideas on their own they have free reign to make all the twists and turns in the story to make it more appealing to audiences. Oh well, I just thought that this story would encourage others that are dealing with Autistic children and just be a pure inspirational story to tell the only way Disney can spin a story. This boy and the family are truly amazing, his videos always gets to my heart-strings.

Interesting. I submitted an idea about a sand princess who sunburned her sister who was going to marry a guy from a country called skunkington.

Not to disappoint you, but your idea will be thrown away before it even gets in the hands of anyone important. Has nothing to do with you or your movie. You would be surprised how much gets rejected, even great ideas.

I have given up on trying to do this since I read on their website that they do not accept any ideas from outside sources! OH WELL! I tried! But I am very adamant about SOMEONE turning this into an inspirational story somehow!

Disney, like all media companies, does not accept unsolicited material. You have to go through a recognized agent. My friend and I have had modest success with some very ideas and here's how the process works. You write a treatment of the idea and give it to your agent. The agent does the work to ensure that you have the necessary legal rights and aren't infringing on some other work. If they feel that it's worth going forward and everything is ok they then do the initial pitch to the studios. If a studio feels that they are interested they will work through the agent to begin the process of looking at the treatment and evaluating the idea. In other words, the studio solicits the material.

It's a long, sometimes arduous process, and can involve some cost but if you can do that then you may have an outside chance. But a lot of solicited material, probably most, goes nowhere.

We told you that here! Talk about trying to get a good look at a T-Bone instead of taking the butcher's word for it...

Try a kickstarter and make it yourself. Also, save some money for if/ when the attorney(s) representing Tommy and his family contact you....
