Dogs are allowed in FW in the camping section only, not in the cabins, and only some camping areas. They do have a great dog park there too. I don't think I would take my dog and camp in a tent unless I was going to be with him all day, my dog would not be good at a camp site without us there, he would lose his mind! I think there is a kennel around in the area too, never used it tho.

Kennels will be able to tell if your dog is aggressive or a big softie. Well a good kennel would anyway. They know its not the breed its the owner... most of the time. I only say that because any breed can have a dog just wired wrong and be aggressive. Owners that make no effort to socialize dogs is a big problem. Fearing a breed is silly.

That is true and i agree it is bad owners not breeds. Cant tell you how many times I have been walking her just to see people walk to the other side of the street and the only thing my dog is doin is wiggling her butt off to meet them. My dog is well trained and has been well socialized since I have owned her. I take her everwhere i can with me. Unfort that is the product of bad owners not understanding there breed and just buying a dog cuase it looks cool. I just dont want to put my dog in as bad situtation becuase her breed makes up 95% of peoples minds before they meet her.

Our dog is part Australian Cattle dog and part Rottie (we think), his colors are just like a Rot. He weighs about 100 pounds and is a gentle giant. He is so big that it can cause people to think he is mean but he is far from that. We do love FW but we have never taken him there, I would feel obligated to check on him often, walk him, play with him etc... and that would take so much time from the parks and vacation that it would not be worth it. When we travel he stays with family, if we can arrange it.
