Do your romance levels increase when vacationing in Disney?

Firstly let's not be too explicit here, but let's have the discussion in a civilised manner. I'm sure we all have romantic qualities that we show to our partners in everyday life (and rightly so), but do you find you become a little bit more romantic when in Disney?

I find that on our trips to Disney, it's easier for me to 'appear' more romantic than I usually do. I'm one of those people who is quite capable of ruining a romantic moment accidentally, usually by opening my mouth and allowing words to come out. I sometimes say something romantic but then my brain says "That line was great, keep going as that was gold". I then invariably say something stupid and ruin all the good work I've put in up to that point.

However when we're in Disney World there are so many moments were I can seem romantic towards Mrs Merg with minimal effort. I don't mean that as in I don't want to make the effort, it's just I need less words because of the surrounding environment so there's less chance of me ruining it. For instance I've discovered that standing in front of the castle watching the fireworks, I only have to put my hand on her back and say nothing and it's like a million brownie points for me for being 'Mr Romance'. Contrast that with me doing the same in the supermarket and getting a response of "What do you want now, can't you see I'm choosing what dog worming tablets to buy".

Other 'minimal effort, high reward' moments include holding her hand on the steamboat circling the Rivers of America, sharing a car at the Sc-fi Dine in theater snuggled up, holding her hand on the drop in Pirates and more bizarrely having a photo of both of us with the characters at the Crystal Palace breakfast buffet. I'm sure there's others too but those just stood out as being very rewarding for me .

So is it just me, or do any of you lot have a similar experience?

I have to be honest and say no. That is because there are usually 6 of us - all together for like a week straight - not something we are used to even at home. Granted we usually get two rooms, but still... lol. I agree with @KBLovesDisney - we become more like the kids again, and so do my kids, who are 14 & up. It's so wonderful seeing them running and laughing together, not worrying about being cool, like they did when they were little.

i'm alone now :( and have felt it very hard to return back to disney due to the emotional tie-in that i have with having a companion and being at the parks. and it has nothing to due with that wink wink stuff. i have a full family [parents, sis, niece, nephew, etc] trip planned later this year but i don't know how i feel about going. i thought i would be fine going alone at some point after the break up but i still don't feel up to it. so i underestimated the feelings that are intertwined there. sorry if that was too off topic or a downer. don't worry, i get up every morning! :D

Mr. Belledream and I are very attached-to-the-hip in real life, but I totally understand what you mean by Disney having so much going on that it makes the romance that much more effortless. Of course it's the added bonuses of being on vacation, in a carefree environment, but Disney is something that has meant so much to our relationship in the past, and the foundation of our dreams for the future. Seriously want to have a family so we can go to Disney World more and more! ;)

I'm also convinced that music is the best thing to happen in and around the World that makes everyone feel the feelings they feel.
