Do you need a park reservation or anything like that if staying off property?

I'll be in Orlando one weekend in September so I'm going to go hit Universal, I have an AP so why not? Last few times I was at Universal I stayed in a Universal hotel and I remember them saying something about off property guests needing park reservations but are were included.....I do I need to do anything a head of time?

Also how are they doing Hadgrid's lately, still a virtual line? What's going on with Velocicoaster? I'm assuming the weekend of Sept. 11,12 will be light traffic. I just want to hit the cool rides.

There are not currently any reservations needed at Universal. I don't think they ever set anything up. However there's always a chance they'll institute some kind of capacity restrictions, which is what you likely encountered before. Those would essentially be them lowering the number at which point the park is considered "full". That happened occasionally last summer after they reopened, but I don't remember hearing of it happening at all this summer. So you're likely fine.

Universal has never required reservations. Like Rob said for a while there were moments that they reached "capacity," but that hasn't been a thing in quite some time. You'll be fine, they've been in a bit of a lull lately but with HHN starting next week it may pick up some. Velocicoaster is always standby, and Hagrids is either standby or virtual depending on the traffic on the day.

Thanks, I figured Universal would be pretty chill in September. I do not like surprises so I thought I would ask..
