I read on another site that if you call disney directly you can now book into October 2015. Does anyone know if this is true?

Yes as long as it's room only you can book I think 499 days prior. You have to wait until 365 days to make it a package etc. Also if course there will be no offers available yet so it will be for full rack rate but you can always rebook later when something comes out for next fall usually around the spring/summer of that year.

Thanks! Will probably wait until 365 so I can book the package. But booking now and working on paying the room off first is tempting.

FYI, if you book a room only reservation and change it to a package you can't just transfer the money you've paid on the room-only over to your package. Disney views these as two completely different types of reservations and they will fully refund what you've paid so far on the room-only and you will have to pay a new deposit for your package.

Yes I did not clarify that but yes they refund the old deposit and you do a whole new reservation whether it's for a package or if you want an offered discount etc.
