Do you know how much these things cost?

So, I'm trying to get an idea of what things cost in order to get things set up for when I can start booking extras for my cruise. Any help will be great.

1) Has anyone done the alone time spa package for one? What was included and was it worth the money.
2) Does anyone know about the Tropical Rainforest Pass?
3) Does anyone know how much the private cabins or cabanas on Castaway Cye run?
4) Alcohol...anyone remember how much you spent on a imported beer, a glass of white wine, a mojito, or a pina colada while on the cruise?
5) I usually only drink coffee in the morning and water the rest of the day... do I really need to buy bottled water or can I just get water on the boat?
6) Should I have some money changed to pesos in the US before getting to the boat for our stop in Mexico? What would be a good amount (I'm guessing that you don't have to do any bribing in Cozumel so moderate souvenirs is all I'm thinking of)? Should we tip the excursion guide people? In US or Pesos? We pay for the excursion through the cruise line right?

Thanks for the info,
Carie

The cabanas are $499 on family beach and $399 on adult beach.

Prices for spa are on the DCL website.

Water is fine on the ship a good quality, no you do not need to bring any. ( in fact the French have a Lille joke on us on their bottled water, if you spell Evain backwards you will see how.

All cruise ports take USA $ and prefer that currency! everything is priced in $.

Tip in US and the cost of DCL shore trips are debited to your stateroom ac in US.

Booze is often circa $ 5 to $ 10 with 15% tip.

Sounds like your question on the tropical rainforest pass is an excursion question, and that should be on the dcl website as it may be priced specific to your cruise offerings. All good questions. We found the shipboard water to be fine even though dcl staff offered to sell us a case of bottled water on many many occasions throughout the cruise.

My wife and I had a pena-colada on CC and it was around $7.50

I was expecting the drinks to be so much more. My husband and I went to Seasons 52 last week and the drinks were in the $10-$12 range, I don't think I spent that much on a drink on the Dream, even with the tip included.

The frozen concotions that the bartenders offer up on trays on the pool deck were around $10, and all the cocktails I had with dinner (I usually ordered something that was described on the top of the menu) and the Long Island Ice Teas I had at the bar were $6 and some change, and I usually added a buck or two for a tip.

I was actually pleasantly surprised at the drink prices. For my recent 4-night Dream Girls' Cruise, I spent right around $100 on drinks, and that included a round of shots for some of us after our mixology class.

A word of adivice: they will be standing around the pool with trays of the frozen drinks when you head up to the Sail Away party. On the way back down, they are buy one get one free.

Thank you for answering. The Cabana info is great... couldn't find that anywhere. I've put that in the really think about that pot. Good to hear about the water. We've been on the Dream before but on that trip I was still drinking soda and not really drinking water, so good to know.

I found this in the book on Disney Cruise Line. I've not heard of it before. It seems reasonable but it really doesn't tell you much about it. Have you ever done this?

I'm thinking to use that as a guide amount. Thanks, for the info and for answering.

Thanks for the scoop on the Sail Away Party. I'll try and take advantage of that. Thanks for answering.

I did it on my first cruise. It is an area of the ship with several steam rooms and saunas. I was on the Wonder and there was one mild sauna, one warmer sauna and one steam room as well as three different showers and then there are heated tile loungers that are lovely for just relaxing. On the classic ships (Magic and Wonder) it is all without any windows, but the new ships (Dream and Fantasy have the tile loungers so that you can have a view of the ocean (at least that's what it looks like in the pictures) and there are hot tubs as well with a view of the ocean. The classic ships don't have hot tubs in the Rainforest Room.

I liked the experience at first when we had the whole area to ourselves, but then it got crowded and I felt like other people were wanting to get my heated tile lounger and that did kill some of that relaxing vibe for me. All in all, it was a lovely experience, but it is nothing that I just have to do everytime I am on a Disney ship.

Also, there have been reports in the recent past that the day passes are no longer that easy to get once on ship. But you can order one beforehand as an inroom gift, infos about those is here: http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/in-room-gifts-and-shopping/ They are not available to be booked like the spa treatments and that is a bit confusing.

Hope this helps!
