Welcome to a poll of *huge* significance... do you eat the end slices on a loaf of bread. Some may consider it a delicacy, whilst others just throw it away. But what do you do?

I have provided an example if you are unsure of the question. Why? Because I'm nice like that!

I always do. Nothing wrong with them, IMO. Especially if I make Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwiches with lots of Jelly. :slurp: The fillings hold up better in the ends (be nice, please ;) ) and don't smoosh the dough.

Feed those ends to the birds. I always wondered what kind of freaks ate the end pieces.

I like the end pieces because they hold more weight. It's easier to put spreads on it and tastes just as great. I almost always eat the crust first on my pieces of bread. YUM YUM! :slurp:

Well, when I eat bread I enjoy the end slices (I'm the Atkins person).

Nobody else here likes them, so I save them to make breadcrumbs. In the dead of winter I use some to feed the animals...after I spread some PB on them.

Nope, I don't like the ends of sandwich bread. I feed the birds with it, 'cuz no one eats them. I do eat the ends of fresh baked bread from the bakery, any kind... rye, pumperknickel, italian. :slurp:

Birds also love the heels of bread, or that odd leftover hog dog bun, etc with fat on it.

When I brown hamburger, I always drain the fat into a bowl, then dip the bread into the fat (or wait until the fat cools, then spread it on). It's suet, after all--and suet cakes are around $3 here. (After all, only the British consider it suitable for human consumption)

just KIDDING!!

You know I'm a total Anglophile
...or is that Anglophobe????

A lot of people won't eat the crusts. But most of those people will eat a pizza. Spread a little tomato puree and cheese on a crust, grill and voilla - Instant pizza.
