Hi everyone,

Do they still have pin trading in the parks and resorts? We were there 2 years ago and my kids loved this! We are leaving in 13 days (yeah!) and wanted to know if they still do this.

Thanks!:)

Yes, they still have pin trading. They are actually going to have a big pin trading cruise in November. Here is the information on it.

Your clients can join other pin enthusiasts for the Fourth Annual Pin Trading Cruise, sailing Nov. 14-18, 2004 on the Disney Wonder. Set sail on a magical Four-night Bahamian cruise filled with spectacular entertainment, unique dining experiences and famous Disney service including a day at Castaway Cay, Disney's private island paradise. Enjoy artist seminars, signings by Disney pin artists, great games, activities and more. Plus, plenty of time to meet and greet with fellow pin traders.

The trick to get the goods is to bring all the pins you don't want on a lanyard and scope out the CM's. They have all kinds of special pins they are willing to trade and, they love kids. But, the cruise sounds great and give us time to save up. Further updates would be appreciated!

Here's a tip to save a few bucks:

Pins in the Parks and Disney stores start at $6.50 and go up to $12. That is expensive in my opinion. So to save a few bucks go to the Character Warehouse Outlet mall at Belz and buy discontinued pins for $3.99 (max 24 allowed) and then trade them back at the Parks with the CM's. You will save a bundle.

Also to get 5 free pins (sort of free) buy the Safari hat in AK and get 5 pins with it for free.

cheers

I assume that it is only "Disney pin for Disney pin"?

I have some older pins I may trade but they are not Disney (80's rock, P&G, Reds, Bengals, etc.)
