Do they actually save water from the Fountain of Nations when drained?

Disney has announced that they have saved the water from the Foubtain of Nations and will pour it in their next water attraction. That was so long ago and the fountain has been replaced, drained multiple times the drainedfor over 3 months for the 2009 refurbishment. Either they have been saving this water all this time or they are out of their minds. I say there nuts.

Well, when you consider the global water cycle, it's pretty safe to say that there are at least some molecules in the fountain that spent some time in all the bodies of water represented in Epcot, even without some kind of ceremony.

It is a symbolic gesture, saving a little of the water from the fountain to be reintroduced to the new water feature. Nothing nuts about that, just a couple of jars of water from the past being used in the new area. Kinda like Spaceship Earth is neither a Spaceship or the Earth, but is symbolic of both.

Found this doing an internet search. They used a couple of the original vessels from when waters from around the world were poured into the fountain during the dedication ceremony of the FoN in the 1980s to save the water in. They did not save all 149,000 gallons, that would be nuts.

Not nuts. Its a nice ceremonial gesture that keeps the connection of a Fountain of Nations going. Its an easy process to do thats meaningful. When I was in Scouting we would always do a similar ceremony of taking some ashes from the last fire pit to add to the next campout to connect our brotherhood around the fire.

I think he was saying the saving and reusing the entire fountain load of water would be nuts.
I wasnt thinking anyone would be seriously thinking Disney would actually consider saving the entire fountain of water. His post says... save water, not save ALL the water.
